Success in GOD's given Way
Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Is. 3:10
GOD is Life. And that Life is His Goodness. What GOD has personally offered does therefore enable man to achieve victory over sin, which in turn is death. That possibility is in the Ten Commandments which He personally exemplified in totality and perfection. Thereby proving that evil is indeed possible to overcome.
In His guidance and example, GOD does not direct attention towards the self. In fact His warning of succumbing to the lures of self is very severe:
Matt. 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
GOD's Way of no attention to self
GOD offered proof that there is no situation which might prevent or somehow stand against the possibility of showing forth Good. The last and most complete example of that happened on the Cross. There is no further possibility of forgetting self than just before death. But even the sum of all evil which had been done to Him prevented Him not from doing Good. He prayed for His cruxifiers:
Luke 23:33-34 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
And He took care of the future wellbeing of Mary:
John 19:26-27 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
JESUS therefore proved two facts that are very much in need today:
1 The value of Good life is notrelated to onesownsituation, benefits, reverence, or anything one might have. Not even just before death.
2 The possibility of showing forth Good is not dependant on one's own situation or what other people have done.
If therapies noted those two simple and proven facts, then they would actually be able to help people.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
GOD has done what He promised through Isaiah and other prophets. The people that walked in darkness have seen the Great Light of Himself:
Is. 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
He Has also proven that His Good truly does overcome all sin. Therefore anyone can compare any ethic of man to GODs own Good, and see that what GOD says is true:
Is. 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
